Founded in 1987 under the inspiration of Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati (Muniji), the India Heritage Research Foundation is dedicated to preserving the timeless wisdom of sages and saints and the ageless grandeur of Indian culture. However, its devotion to the past is matched only by its service to the present and its hope for the future.

IHRF is a charitable non-profit, tax-exempt, educational, cultural, and philanthropic organization with its principal offices located in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji is its founder and the chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Pujya Sant Rameshbhai Oza is the Honorary Patron. The IHRF Board of Trustees is constituted by selection and appointment of trustees from all over the USA. There are independent IHRF offices in a number of other countries to provide support for the project of Encyclopedia of Hinduism and charitable acts in which the Foundation is engaged.
